It’s been a while since I had last been to the Getty Center, so it was nice when my mom came down to visit because it gave me a chance to show her around. The tram that takes you up to the museum runs uphill alongside the 405, giving you a great view of the city and I’ve always liked the architecture at the Getty, with its clean lines and modern feel. Recently, they’ve been exhibiting photographs from Queen Victoria’s collection and impressionist paintings from the 19th century.
And of course, their garden out back is a riot of color.
My favorite is when the sunset and the night-lights strike the travertine stone at dusk.
